Visiblie helps brands own their visibility in AI search - from ChatGPT to multimodal engines, to emerging conversational and agentic interfaces. As AI increasingly becomes the first place people search, brands need content that’s structured, extractable, and technically sound. We are already validated: we're in-market with paying customers and experiencing strong demand for our SaaS platform. Now, we are looking for a Founding Engineer to become the technical backbone of our product. You will own the backend and infrastructure, comfortably working across the full stack to turn early traction into hypergrowth. You will join a team with: - A serial entrepreneur with deep sales expertise. - A technical founder with Y Combinator experience. - A growing customer base eager for the product you will help build. - A category-defining vision in the billion-dollar SEO and data visibility market.

Collaborate on the product, not just the code: weigh tradeoffs and push for solutions that drive outcomes, not features
Own projects end-to-end: scope, build, ship, measure, and iterate quickly with tight feedback loops
Own the backend architecture of Visiblie’s SaaS platform (APIs, data models, infrastructure, security, performance, scalable services)
“Vibe code” the frontend when needed: comfortable navigating React + TypeScript, wiring up APIs, and extending UI components
Set up and evolve our AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK
Implement robust CI/CD pipelines
Help shape the engineering culture, standards, and technical direction from day zero

⚙️ Core Technical Expertise
Full-Stack Strength, Backend Focus: You are strongest in the backend and infrastructure, but are comfortable and effective working across the entire stack when necessary.
Deep TS/Node.js Experience: You have serious, production-level experience with TypeScript and modern backend frameworks like Node.js / NestJS (or similar).
API & Data Mastery: You excel at designing clean, evolvable, and well-documented APIs, with serious experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and robust schema design.
Frontend Fluency: You are at ease working in a modern TS/React frontend—integrating APIs, managing state, and shipping production-ready flows, even if pixel-perfect design isn't your primary focus.

Cloud & Container Comfort: You have hands-on DevOps experience and are comfortable with AWS (or similar cloud), containers (like Docker/ECS), and core networking concepts.
Infrastructure Ownership: You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CDK, Terraform, or similar) to manage production environments.
Reliability Mindset: You are prepared to own the initial setup and maintenance of observability, monitoring, and reliability systems for an early-stage product.

This is our current playground, but we maintain an open mindset and aren't strictly tied to this particular setup.
🌐 Application Stack
Frontend: React 19, utilizing Vite for fast build tooling and Tailwind CSS for styling, with Radix UI for foundational components.
Backend: NestJS (a progressive Node.js framework) paired with PostgreSQL as the primary database, accessed via the Prisma ORM.
Monorepo & DX: We manage the codebase using an Nx monorepo and leverage Docker for a consistent local development experience.

Cloud Platform: AWS is our main cloud provider.
Infra-as-Code (IaC): We define and manage our infrastructure using AWS CDK.
Compute: Our containerized applications run on ECS Fargate.
Networking & Security: We use CloudFront (CDN) for content delivery and SSL/TLS termination, with Application Load Balancer for API routing. GitHub OIDC ensures secure CI/CD deployments.

💰 Compensation
We’re flexible on how we work together, as long as we’re aligned on building something big:
Option 1 — Full-Time Founding Engineer
We’re flexible on how we work together, as long as we’re aligned on building something big. This path is designed for a long-term partnership with standard vesting.
Phase 1: Initial 2-Month Paid Engagement (Contract Gig)
We will start with a short-term, paid engagement to test our working relationship:
Duration: 2 months
Compensation: ~$1K–$3K/month
Phase 2: Full-Time Commitment & Founding Package
If we are aligned at the end of the 2-month engagement, we will extend a full-time offer with the Founding Engineer package:
Cash: ~$2K–$5K/month (depending on experience & fit)
Equity: 1–3% with standard vesting
Signing Bonus: The difference between the 2-month engagement rate and your agreed-upon full-time salary will be paid to you as a signing bonus for joining us full-time.
Option 2: Short-Term, High-Impact Project with Immediate Equity Vesting
This option is for those who prefer a focused, short-term engagement tied to major company milestones.
Agreed Scope: We define a sharp, high-leverage project tied directly to our next funding round and ARR target (e.g., concentrated backend/infra + product delivery milestone).
Outcome-Based Vesting: If we successfully hit the agreed targets and close the next funding round, your equity vests immediately according to the agreed-upon upfront percentage.
Next Steps: Following the milestone success, we can either convert the role into the Full-Time Founding Engineer package or continue collaborating in a way that fits both parties.
